What is common defence?
Common defence is a way of organising the state in which defence is not the sole domain of the military, but a real shared responsibility of the whole of society. It covers both preparing people (education, training) and building the right organisational structures and distributed infrastructure. In practice, it means that in a crisis – from floods and infrastructure failures to armed conflict – there is a clear division of roles, procedures and resources.
The PSSO concept
It is a proposal to create a civilian defence education system based on specialised organisations, shared standards and local access to training. The model assumes the development of practical skills needed in crises and threats — from communications, logistics and tactical medicine to drones, situational awareness and defensive shooting. Together, it is meant to form a coherent, scalable ecosystem that strengthens society’s resilience, relieves the army of mass civilian training and can be developed in stages as a long-term system for building national readiness.

About us and partners
The concept is backed by a community of experts combining military, rescue, instructor and local government experience. We work with, among others, the Polish Defensive Shooting Association (PZSO), the FR Paramedyk/TCCC community and partners from the public and private sectors. Our goal is for common defence not to remain a slogan, but to become a concrete programme of training, exercises and investment decisions.
